Overview

AM LLC has an immediate opening for a full-time Program Manager to support public health, COVID-19 response, and immunization services programming throughout the state of Rhode Island. The Program Manager will implement, support, and provide guidance and oversight to the program, as well as manage all aspects of contract award requirements and compliance. A successful Program Manager will have experience managing multidisciplinary teams in the public health, community health, or healthcare setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, attention-to-detail, planning, and problem-solving skills. This is a hybrid position with 50% remote work from a home office and 50% required onsite work in Providence, RI with the possibility of occasional travel throughout the state of Rhode Island.

This position is contingent upon being awarded the project.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation, support, and providing guidance and oversight to the full continuum of Public Health Services (including COVID-19 response, disease surveillance, case investigation, contact tracing, on-site testing, employee health services, immunizations, and general public health practice), ensuring goals and objectives are met.
  • Serves as the main point of contact with the partner agency and ensures a positive and collaborative working relationship with an emphasis on client engagement, problem-solving, and support.
  • Builds relationships at all levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with public health leadership to establish parameters for programmatic evaluation, reporting cadence, and data collection paradigms.
  • Collaborates on a regular basis with all partner agencies and community partners.
  • Oversees and manages program finances, staffing, contract award requirements, and compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and applies data and information and/or other program statistics to compile reports and make appropriate recommendations for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Monitors program scope and client demand regarding individual project scopes, compliance, staffing, resources, and needs.
  • Leads and manages the team in planning, continuous quality improvement, and meeting critical needs.
  • Participates in and/or leads all meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Completes other duties as assigned for business continuity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (If Applicable):
  • Delegates duties to, supervises, and maintains schedules of Project Managers.
  • Approves time-off requests, mileage reimbursement requests, and timecards as necessary.
  • Provides mentoring, support, and performance elevation for direct reports up to and including termination and completion of all associated procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • User provided home high-speed internet connection. (Minimum 25Mbps)
  • Bachelor's degree in public health or related field required.
  • Public Health and COVID-19 project management required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in project or program management required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of public health related experience and three to five (3-5) years of management experience supervising a complex public health team.
  • Supervision of multiple teams or division level leadership experience.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.


PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree preferred, with MPH highly preferred.
  • Leadership or management level experience at a local or state health department is preferred.
  • PMP Certification or similar is preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years contract management experience preferred.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with Google Suite.
  • Utilize RingCentral to make phone calls.
  • Utilize all technology and software issued by the company as needed to meet the needs of the client.
  • These may include but are not limited to: Mac Book, Google Suite, Slack, Help Scout, etc.
  • Experience with project management applications.
  • Familiarity with disease surveillance systems.
  • Familiarity with immunization information systems (IIS)/registries.
  • Must have a quiet, dedicated workspace.
  • User-provided home high-speed network connection.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 50% required onsite work in Providence, RI metropolitan area
  • Possibility of occasional travel throughout the state of Rhode Island


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
  • Requires the use of a computer screen for extensive periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting of 5 to 10lbs.
  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) the majority of the time.
