Overview

AM LLC has an immediate opening for a full-time Project Manager to support public health, COVID-19 response, and immunization services programming throughout the state of Rhode Island. A successful Project Manager will have experience managing multidisciplinary teams in the public health, community health, or ambulatory health setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, attention-to-detail, planning, and problem solving skills. This position requires expert knowledge in core public health services (e.g., epidemiology, disease surveillance, immunization services); prior leadership or management level work at a local or state health department is essential. This is a hybrid position with 40% remote work from a home office and 60% required onsite work in Providence, RI with the possibility of occasional travel throughout the state of Rhode Island.

This position is contingent upon being awarded the project.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the full continuum of Pandemic Response services (including epidemiology, disease surveillance, case investigation, contact tracing, on-site testing, outbreak response, immunization services and general public health practice).
  • Oversees a cross functional team, providing guidance and support regarding community-based public health and clinical practice.
  • Collaborates to maintain compliance and evidence-based practice within project teams delivering services to health departments.
  • Ensures testing, treatment, and/or vaccine administration is completed in accordance with established standing orders and in adherence to best practice.
  • Guides decision-making and facilitates interpretation of protocols related to core public health services, COVID-19 response, and/or immunization services.
  • Ensures adequate coverage for the assigned program, including providing hands-on coverage to fulfill urgent needs.
  • Tracks identified metrics and meets reporting requirements as set by AM LLC and the Health Department.
  • Establishes and maintains professional rapport with all stakeholders, and communicates with health department staff, as appropriate.
  • Builds and sustains relationships, and coordinates with all health department staff, leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure high quality of services.
  • Leads and/or participates in all meetings and training sessions with internal and external stakeholders as needed for project support and business continuity.
  • Reviews and implements policy and procedures on a continual basis to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitors project scope, compliance, staffing, and resources, and advises the Director of Public Health regarding project needs.
  • Oversees and manages project budget and finances.
  • Collaborates with the Training and Continuing Education Team to facilitate the delivery of the most current, evidence-based continuing education for project staff members.
  • In collaboration with the AM Clinical Operations team, monitors and mitigates work-related safety and health risks for each staff position, through administrative and environmental control measures and ensures compliance with workplace safety and health authorities, as appropriate.
  • Completes other duties as assigned for business continuity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (If Applicable):
  • Delegates duties to, supervises, and maintains schedules of project staff
  • Approves time-off requests, mileage reimbursement requests, and time cards as necessary
  • Provides mentoring, support, and performance elevation for direct reports up to and including termination and completion of all associated procedures


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience supporting a public health authority required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in project management, program management, or program supervision required.


PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree preferred, with MPH highly preferred.
  • Experience working hands-on in the community setting with individuals of all ages and abilities is preferred


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • User provided home high-speed internet connection. (Minimum 25Mbps)
  • Experience with Google Suite.
  • Utilize RingCentral to make phone calls.
  • Utilize all technology and software issued by the company as needed to meet the needs of the partner agency.
    • These may include but are not limited to: Mac Book, Google Suite, Slack, HelpScout.
  • Experience with project management applications.
  • Familiarity with disease surveillance systems.
  • Familiarity with immunization information systems (IIS)/registries.
  • Must have a quiet, dedicated workspace.
  • User-provided home high-speed network connection.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position will work remotely from a home office (40%) and work onsite at various locations in the Providence, RI metropolitan area (60%).
  • Travel may be required throughout Rhode Island.


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
  • Requires the use of a computer screen for extensive periods of time.
  • May require the use of PPE as mandated by current state and local guidelines.
  • Occasional lifting of 5 to 10 lbs.
  • Onsite and remote days to be assigned based on the needs of the state.
  • Working hours to be assigned to meet the needs of the state, which may include evening or weekend hours to ensure response meets the needs of the state.
  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) for extended periods of time.
