For nearly a decade, Chenega Technical Innovations (CTI) has been an industry leader in the federal small business marketplace, providing agencies and commercial customers tomorrow's solutions in Integration and IT. PdM TENCAP is chartered with the responsibility of executing the Army's Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) program. Army TENCAP's mission is to enable the Army to rapidly exploit and influence National capabilities and architectures. Army TENCAP conducts advanced development and rapid prototyping to enhance, inform, and modernize Army capabilities. PdM TENCAP responsibilities include support to Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) to maintain connections to national and theater systems, prototype development and transition of technology into Army systems, and acquisition of equipment as directed by the TENCAP General Officer Steering Group (TGOSG) and Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics & Technology) (ASA(ALT)).
Summary:
TheSystems Engineeris responsible for preparing decision justification materials and design studies to identify and address program/project capability gaps to ensure customer satisfaction by resolving system engineering issues and ensuring their needs are met. TheSystems Engineerwills upport development of Simplified Acquisition Management Plans (SAMPs), which address the program's overall acquisition approach, including systems engineering and risk management approaches for TENCAP projects.

Work you'll do
As a Systems Engineer within our TENCAP team, you will:
- Prepare study results for presentation to leadership.
- Help develop and manage requirement baselines.
- Support configuration and change management, support technical review preparation, presentation and evaluation, and support execution of risk, issue, and opportunity management.
- Coordinate with test and evaluation staff for execution of requirements verification and validation.
- Participate in and provide recommendation for acceptance or rejection of program reviews, including Software Specification Reviews (SSR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
- Draft proposed acquisition strategies and cost estimates to facilitate program milestone execution.
- Draft program documentation, System specification, and Concept of Operations (CONOPs).
- Recommend acceptance or rejection of project review and trade studies, test plans and procedures, and test reports.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information or in related field.
- 10+ years of experience with progressively complex experience in design, development, integration, and testing of DoD or Intelligence systems.
- 7+ years of experience with systems engineering and design for the DoD or Intelligence Programs.
- Top secret clearance required with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
- The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief
Required: - Experience with military engineering or military systems software in the US Army preferred.
- Experience with Distributed Common Ground System - Army (DCGS-A).
- Experience with Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT).
- Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Strong skills (both written and oral), strong customer service, and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
- Ability to design and maintain technical and project documentation.
- Ability to utilize business resources efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to identify and solve system engineer issues efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to occasionally work after hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
