Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Public Health Research SME with demonstrated experience in development of public heal communications campaigns, key messaging, stakeholder engagement activities, and strategic communications. This position requires strong client interaction skills and a demonstrated ability to work with various stakeholders across multiple tasks.

This Full-Time opportunity is based in Alexandria, VA. This position may also be remote with occasional on-site meetings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide project leadership in all aspects of planning, preparation, coordination, and execution of multiple projects and anticipate the needs, as driven by the project work plans
  • Independently manage resources and be able to deliver all components of basic and stand-alone projects
  • Plan client meetings by anticipating needs as driven by the work plan, coordinate meetings with key users, and document key questions to be answered by throughout the engagement
  • Produce project documentation, briefs, meeting materials, analysis, best practice presentations, benchmark information, and interim, and final deliverables.
  • Developing clear and appealing campaigns using best practices, document engagement strategies, content development, and other fundamental campaign concepts.
  • Development of leadership briefings and presentations.
  • Providing professional project plan, analyze, and create campaign/content solutions that meet strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Conceptualize, draft, review, modify and prepare materials to meet predetermined communications and marketing goals.
  • Develop strategy and execution plan that connects directly with target audiences and delivers information/calls-to-action in clear, concise, and persuasive formats.
  • Think strategically to create campaigns with end goals in mind.
  • Translate complex information in plain language to audiences with varying levels of comprehension.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Communications preferred).
  • 10 years related experience in public health communications and program management experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Demonstrated experience manage program budgets and large teams.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Strategic thinker with drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings; superior consulting abilities
  • Prior public health campaign management and execution experience.
  • Communications experience within a Healthcare system or healthcare facility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high-level attention to detail and ability to carry out multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
  • Capable self-starter with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
