Location HQ 3500 S Clark Street Arlington, VA 22202 Employment Type Full-Time Experience Level Experienced Real Estate Reference number 159150 Target Start Date 08/22/2022 Job Summary The Construction Manager for HQ Regional Support will be responsible for supporting regional construction teams through all aspects of construction from due diligence, design, bidding and on through to construction and handover. With the regional teams holding the responsibility of the design and construction of the physical structures needed to conduct Lidl's daily operations, including stores, offices and special construction projects, the HQ Regional Support team is responsible for ensuring the regional teams have the tools, knowledge and support required to ensure their projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with required quality standards while also meeting the needs of the business. **Telework Policy allows for up to 5 days of work from home a week depending on business needs and manager discretion.** What You'll Do Research, analyze, calculate, manage and report on construction costs Conduct progress and quality control visits on construction projects Advise on design process from concept through construction completion Monitor and manage project performance of internal and external stakeholders Identifying areas of improvement and providing trainings Serve as principal liaison to internal regional stakeholders Train and guide the work of other team members Providing support to regional construction managers on all aspects of construction included but not limited to process, quality, schedule, and cost Create KPI reports and general reporting Take a role in leading project team consisting of design consultants, general contractors, and internal departments Conduct negotiations with manufacturers and suppliers in order to purchase targeted construction products Audit general contractor's performance included but not limited to quality, schedule, and cost Establish design and process parameters based on business needs Perform other duties as assigned What You'll Need Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Sciences, Construction Management, or a related field Minimum of 2 years' experience in Construction Management, Retail Construction, or Real Estate Operations In lieu of, a combination of education and experience mentioned above will satisfy the degree and relevant experience required Knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, health and safety regulations and entitlement processes Ability to work in situations that involve prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting and/or bending more than half the time This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers up to 25% of the time US Driver's License What You'll Receive At Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.
