Description Utilize your skills in the manufacturing industry as a Controller for a well-established, renowned family-owned company for a position available through Robert Half. This leadership role oversees all of accounting, finance, HR, IT and Treasury of this financially stable, transformational organization. As the Controller, your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems, and guiding departmental staff. You will also be overseeing the company Audit, Tax Return Preparation, Bank Reporting while managing Asset Based Loans, BBC and company banking relationships. The permanent Controller position is situated in the White Marsh, Maryland area.Your responsibilities in this role- Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports- Comfortable handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties- Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time- Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as neededQualified and interested candidates should apply to this post or reach out to Ray Saiyed via Linked In (refer to JO# 02000-0012246484) for immediate consideration. Requirements - CPA or CMA is a must - no exceptions- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued- Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks- Experience in a supply chain or manufacturing environment (with LIFO/FIFO inventory) highly preferred- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred- Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines- Experience with Asset Based Lending- Foundational knowledge in Epicor Erp- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problemsRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
