DescriptionAxiom is seeking an IT Systems Administrator IV to support the Center for Satellite Applications and Research task within NESDIS at NOAA.Responsibilities include:Prioritizing and delegating projects and tasksMonitoring the IT helpdesk and coordinating ticket resolutionEnsuring Puppet configuration automation of Linux bare metal and virtual serversManaging software development tools in Linux environmentSupporting cloud migration projectsSupporting Information System Security Officer ensuring secure baselines are enforcedProviding Tier 2 Linux supportQualifications+8 year Linux Systems Administration (RedHat/CentOS experience preferred)A clear communicator who can speak to different clients about their problems/issues, capture the essence of the problem and quickly solve the issues while communicating clearly with clients regarding the underlying issues.Familiarity with Secure Baselines (eg STIG)Ability to script (eg bash, python, ruby, or perl)NFS experienceAbility to track down and diagnose root causes of network, system, and user-level issuesPuppet configuration automation experiencegit revision control system experienceExperience with Hardware RAIDCloud migration experienceCI/CD automationAxiom offers competitive compensation packages including comprehensive medical/dental/life insurance and matching 401(k) contribution.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
