TheC++ and Linux Software Developer will research, design, develop, or test software and software related systems for military or scientific use employing knowledge of software design methods.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deliver specific software functionality in support of government requirements.
  
• Coordinate with Service Program offices to ensure developed software meets their requirements.
  
• Contribute to testing activities, including writing test plans, executing tests, regression testing, performance testing, and integration testing, etc.
  
• Contribute to improving the overall quality of our software development processes and practices.
  
• Provide estimation of product development efforts.
  
• Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
  
• Serve as a Project Lead within the Program Office and customer organization.
  
• Support coordination on all aspects of software development, testing, acceptance, and support for multiple projects.
  
• Follow published policies and regulations.
  
• Supervisory: May be required to provide daily supervision in compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including employee recruiting, development, and retention.
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications:

• Relevant BS/BA and 3+ years of relevant experience OR
  
• AA/AS and 7+ years of relevant experience OR
  
• High school diploma or GED and 9+ years of relevant experience
  
• Background check required with the ability to obtain an interim secret clearance followed by a full secret clearance, to continue employment, is required
  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of writing and executing software test cases.
  
• Knowledge of scripting languages.
  
• Knowledge of test automation.
  
• Knowledge of automated unit testing frameworks.
  
• Knowledge working with databases using SQL queries.
  
• Development knowledge with .Net and Visual Studio IDE.
  
• Java, C+, C++, and C# programming knowledge.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development industry.
  
• Ability to work with large and complex data sets.
  
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Team Foundation Server.
  
• Ability to travel 15-30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
