Summary:
TheNetwork Administratorwill assist in monitoring the existing network infrastructure of an interactive virtual training tool for system and network administrators to accomplish Mission Qualification Training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair complex network problems.
- Provide Information Assurance (IA) support to ensure all network specific hardware meets customer requirements.
- Assist in maintaining, sustaining, and updating the current network architecture for on-premises application and assist with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining training materials and technical documents.
- Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, like routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways, etc.
- Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities.
- Handle and track Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessments (IAVAs), Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNOs), relevant patches, and functional application updates.
- Coordinate and work closely with Senior Network Engineers and configuration managers to manage and implement any changes to the architecture and monitor and troubleshoot communication issues.
- Rapidly detect and resolve component and system failures and errors, operate, and maintain the network and systems, install, and replace network software and hardware, and performance maintenance, including following power-off procedures to protect the system during emergency situations.
- Deliver and install network architecture to support interactive training tool.
- Attend and/or facilitate product demonstrations at the request of the user community.
- May assist with training of other staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
- Associate degree in network engineering or related field
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering/administration or related experience required
- 2+ additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree
- Experience with SolarWinds Orion Web Console and Network Atlas Overview, SolarWinds Managing and Monitoring Nodes Overview, and SolarWinds Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA) Overview
- Experience with Cisco ISE Backup and Restore, Citrix NetScaler, and Palo Alto
- Possess baseline IAT-II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M requirements
- Active secret security clearance

- Knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and implementing in Agile environment.
- Independent and self-direction skills are highly desired.
- Ability to solve complex problems utilizing creative thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to critically analyze and understand the systems and communicate system requirements to leadership.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain OCONUS travel documentation.
- Ability to work nights, weekend, and holidays as required.
- Ability to maintain and keep a secret security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain USAF CAC.
