Sr. VMware Systems Administrator

Summary

NJVC is currently supporting the DIA under the Infrastructure Services Enterprise Operations (ISEO) task order. The contract currently has 3 plus year left. NJVC will provide an array of services and solutions that include desktop systems support, data center support, security, architecture, applications management, mobile device services, and traffic management. The focus of the work is to maximize operational excellence and technical innovations and automations to move the DIA toward a digital future.

Responsibilities

• Administrate VMware virtual environment using vSphere spanning multiple data centers and networks.
  
• Install and configure the VMware vCenter Server.
  
• Install and configure the VMware ESXi hosts.
  
• Perform troubleshooting of existing environment and new deployments in VMWare servers.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, Masters's degree with 6+ years
  
• Education equivalency of Associate's with 10+ years of related experience or high school diploma with 12+ years of related experience can be used in lieu of bachelor's degree
  
• Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP)
  
• Candidate must possess an F5 Certified Administrator (201) or higher certification
  
• Experienced in administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment
  
• Extensive experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting load-balanced IP address spaces
  
• Experience working independently on technical network activities in support of a client
  
• Experience interfacing with team members on requirements and solutions
  
• Active TS/SCI Clearance

• Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  
• Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  
• Ability to work with on-premises and cloud resources
  
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
