Job Summary: 
Westat has an immediate opening for a Research Analyst to support research projects in transfusion and precision medicine. The successful candidate will have a strong scientific background and quickly pick up operational protocols and procedures and data collection and data management tasks, and support multi-disciplinary teams and external investigators. 

This position is remote eligible (limited to Eastern, Central and Mountain Time zones).   

Job Responsibilities: 
•    Support research committees by preparing agendas, materials, meeting minutes and action items; plan, organize, and coordinate internal and external virtual and in-person meetings.
•    Maintain study website and update content as needed.
•    Manage help desk and respond to queries from external investigators and NIH client.
•    Prepare documents and power points to comply with accessibility standards (section 508 compliance), draft reports, and manage IRB submissions for multiple sites.
•    Monitor and track study data collection, review data, and prepare data quality reports.
•    Coordinate administrative and scientific review of proposals; coordinate and track publications pipeline.

Basic Qualifications: 
•    A Master's degree in biological sciences or public health. 
•    1-2 years of work experience in clinical/scientific research.

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Familiarity with genomics concepts and omics data. 
•    Data management and analysis experience. 
•    Experience working on transfusion related research studies. 
•    Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms, e.g., Zoom, MS Teams.

Minimum Qualifications: 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to multi-task.
•    Undergraduate or masters level course work in genetics.
