Children’s International School - Teacher Assistant Position

Children’s International School based in Arlington, Virginia is seeking an energetic, creative educator to assist our pre-K classroom. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a pre-K teacher who is the 2022 recipient of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Teacher Award. 

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children as they inquire about the world and explore their curiosities from their perceptive.

Children’s International School provides hands-on learning that addresses the whole child, with an emphasis on the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Creative Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
To assist the teacher when needed with watching children.
To maintain good communication with parents and to make each parent feel at ease at the preschool.
To promote positive behavior and good social skills with the children by applying consistent techniques in accordance with licensing standards.
To interact with the children and encourage them in their activities during the day.
To develop a cooperative and supportive attitude within the school.
