The Equity Capital Markets department is searching for an experienced Vice President to serve as a senior member of one of the fastest growing ECM platforms in our New York, NY offices at 299 Park Avenue.

The Position

The Vice President position will be a key role for our firm and serve critical functions across the "full cycle" of equity transactions coordinating origination, execution and product management. Capabilities should expand across all equity products including IPOs, follow-ons, preferreds, ATMs, share repurchases and convertibles / equity-linked. Importantly, the candidate will be highly enthusiastic about leveraging prior experience to contribute to the development of the both the firm's existing equity franchise and new extensions.

The Vice President will have high autonomy and a leadership role on a growing, dynamic platform that maintains a strong culture of work-life balance. The candidate should have strong technical, communication, leadership and corporate finance skills who is capable of generating and executing his/her own transactions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include maintaining and building new client relations from a product expertise perspective, expanding the overall equity franchise by leading junior associates preparing and delivering bespoke solutions for clients and deal execution. Additionally, the individual will have the opportunity to be a critical player expanding into new growth-oriented industry specializations such as Healthcare and Technology.

As a critical member of the team, the Vice President will drive both coverage and execution initiatives, product technology development and training for junior associates. Accordingly, the individual would be expected to:

  • Collaborate with relationship managers to identify ECM opportunities; develop pitch concepts / ideas
  • Provide quality idea generating proposals to clients and prospects and perform respective follow-up
  • Lead the development of presentation material for clients across all industries on topics including common shareissuance (all execution formats), equity-linked alternatives, IPOs, SPACs, carve-outs and share repurchases
  • Model IPO valuations, comparable analyses, accretion / dilution, pro-forma capitalization tables
  • Price and model equity-linked securities, cost of capital analyses, call-spread overlays
  • Drive the syndicate function, including prospectus drafting, due diligence, investor targeting and feedback, bookbuilding, pricing and allocation
  • Supervise and train junior associates


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years of direct ECM, Investment Banking, or related financial experience
  • Series 79 & 63 licenses


Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years or more direct ECM, Investment Banking, or related financial experience
  • Relevant transaction experience and strong client management skills
  • Experience leading deal teams and interacting with senior personnel internally and externally
  • Experience or strong aptitude for the Healthcare and Technology sectors
  • Creativity and depth with regards to client presentation and solutions
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills for all equity / equity-linked products
  • Team oriented approach with independent drive and maturity
