CAM Technologies () is the world leader in compressed air system management. We design and build custom control and automation systems to target aggressive energy savings in commercial and industrial compressed air installations across all industries, saving hundreds of millions of kilowatt-hours to date! Our novel solutions utilize cutting-edge technologies to deliver process optimizations, reduce total project cost, maximize ROI, and increase end-user management and usability options. But what does that mean for you?CAM designs and builds PLC-based automation systems for use in factories around the world (but mostly in the USA). We travel to and commission our systems. At a high level, field work is very hands on (yes, we climb ladders) with quite a bit of customer interface while office work is primarily computer based. We work extensively with Allen Bradley industrial PLCs and employees are responsible for simple PLC programming and HMI design. Any programming experience (even recreational) would be helpful, but isn't strictly required. New hires are given on the job training and are cross-trained in the fields of low voltage DC control circuit design, mechanical piping, air system design, automation and controls. However, independent critical thinking, resourcefulness, and strong troubleshooting skills are mandatory. Our customers cover the full spectrum of industrial settings--we work where the factories are. Travel is a requirement. Time in hotels averages ~50-60% of the year. We try to limit travel to 2-3 weeks per month, but some periods are busier than others and this will vary throughout the year. Please be willing to rack up a lot of frequent flier miles before applying! We are a small company built from a strong, close-knit team. Our employees truly enjoy what they do. Every project is different and each success is built from a unique, creative, and novel solution. This is not a monotonous Office Space style job. If you are looking for a fun, dynamic work environment with different challenges every day, please consider applying.Major Responsibilities:Installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of CAMLink Automation Systems at customer facilitiesProduct support, both remote and on-siteDevelopment and Design of:Control system architecture,Component selection,Control panel design,AutoCAD drawings of schematics, diagrams and engineering documentsInstrument specificationDesign, configuration, and implementation of PLCs and HMIs.
