General Maintenance Technician IIThe George Mason University, Facilities Department, invites applications for a General Maintenance Technician II at our Fairfax campus. This position will work at our Fairfax campus. The working hours will be Sunday - Thursday, from 6:00am - 2:30pm.Required Qualifications:High school graduation or equivalent;Demonstrated progressively more responsible carpentry and general maintenance experience (4 years preferred); andMust currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator's license that meets all of GMU's requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason's Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/. The Office of Risk Management reserves the right to review the driver's licenses and Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) of all candidates selected with employment contingent upon a favorable review.Preferred Qualifications:Completion of, or ongoing participation and/or completion of courses in vocational or technology education; andFive years of experience with commercial carpentry work and multiple architectural building trades.
