Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a dedicated, forward looking Senior Integrated Schedule Analyst to support digital transformation within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This individual will work with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), VA Central Office (VACO) or the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to support the administration's mission with activities such as: project, product and product line management; moving from waterfall management processes to Agile and Scaled Agile practices; and from stove-piped development, delivery and operations processes to DevSecOps best practices such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). We are seeking individuals committed to delivering and improving quality services to Veterans.

Primary Responsibilities

A Senior Scheduler Analyst must have experience in reviewing schedule data and can compare and contrast planned versus actual progress, conduct what-if analysis, identify risk areas to program completion and create narrative, graphic, and oral status reports in a variety of different formats and media. Must be proficient in some or all responsibilities:

  • Develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains plans and schedules for complex projects, programs, and change driven activities, using modern project tracking software.
  • Supports the IP&S team in developing, integrating and maintaining the IMS reporting to the Program Management team
  • Accountable for schedule compliance, assessment of schedule risk, identification of opportunities (including schedule margin planning) and providing robust/actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action
  • Prepares Critical Path analysis, scheduling metrics and reports that depict program execution and progress to plan
  • Produces metrics for plans and schedules for moderately complex projects, programs, and change activities across the lifecycle of a program
  • Performs integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners of moderate complexity
  • Identifies, analyzes and reports performance variances to management
  • Assists in driving program execution through quick turn generation of prospective schedule performance analyses, recovery/alternate scenario planning and improved schedule visibility/visualization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or office Management Curriculum or Equivalent is required.
    (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.).
  • 5 years related experience required
  • Must have experience in reviewing schedule data - comparing and contrasting planned versus actual progress, conducting what-if analysis, identifying risk areas to program completion and create narrative, graphic, and oral status reports in a variety of different formats and media
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, or other project management/scheduling software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings.
  • Knowledge of military and Veteran populations.
