Aptive is seeking a Leadership Coach who is a highly experienced resource to provide tactical and strategic support of FDA's near and long-term strategic activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides coaching and mentoring services to coach FDA leadership and managers on organizational development and leadership principles and practices.
- Guides clients in the appropriate application of tools and techniques to assist FDA leadership in more effectively and efficiently completing high profile projects, managing programs, and improving the culture of their teams.
- Interacts with government managers and senior executives.
- Applies proven approaches to assessing individual managers' and leaders' strengths and weaknesses, as well as trends requiring attention across an organization.
- Develops personalized development plans for managers and leaders to address weaknesses and build on strengths.
- Conducts personalized one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Facilitates development exercises for leadership or management teams.
- Develops tools to support long term behavior change.
- Trains teams on agile project management principles, as required.
- Conducts personnel testing (360 reviews, Meyers-Briggs, etc.).
- Provides thought leadership to engagement teams and government meetings, and facilitates development of creative solutions to client business problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrates expertise in the areas of strategy, business process improvement, and organizational transformation.
- 8+ years of federal and/or healthcare consulting and leadership development/coaching/mentoring experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to work onsite in Silver Spring, MD as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning, organizational designs, change management, policy, risk management, performance management, knowledge management, trainig, coaching and mentoring.
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Experience with FDA and/or HHS.
- Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to detail.
- Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings; superior consulting abilities.
