Job Summary

Provide strong Subject Matter Expertise on federal government agency strategic planning to VA client. Looking for someone with 10 to 15 years experience as a consultant who has worked with multiple clients leading strategic and operational planning. In particular looking for someone who has experience working with high level government clients and very high visibility teams to articulate strategic outcomes, measures, and multi-year action plans.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be a thought leader and help lead client engagements in the development of strategic outcomes based on best practices both inside and outside of the Government sphere.
  • Be a thought leader and help lead client engagements in the development of performance measures and multi-year action plans to implement an Agency or Department strategic plan.
  • Assist in the research, identification, design, communication, and implementation of various strategic concepts and initiatives for the realization of strategic initiatives/concepts/projects; and to identify savings and communicate results to others.
  • Translate strategic plan into operational / action plans.
  • Review strategic documents.
  • Review departmental (business unit) strategies to ensure alignment with the strategy and identify differences.
  • Identify and coordinate with external strategic partners, recommend new collaborative relationships.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters in Organizational Management related subjects
  • 10 years experience in leading large strategic initiatives/projects


Desired Qualifications

  • Ph.D in organizational management
  • Experience in alarge federal consulting firm leading verticals or horizontals and considered a subject matter expert.
