Job Summary

Aptive is seeking an experienced Program Manager for a potential contract supporting the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) Program. The Program Manager will lead and manage the contractor team both on-site and remote across all the various projects within NCO/NITRD and service as the direct interface with the Agency COR and Deputy Division Chiefs.

This is a mid-level, full-time position onsite in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the contract team and have overall responsibility for the quality, timeliness, and delivery of project deliverables.
  • The PM will be the Interface between the company, customer, and senior staff, which includes general administrative oversight, time accounting, financial tracking, cost projection, assigning personnel to tasks, personnel evaluation and support as well as assisting in the technical leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary staff.
  • Assist the NCO leadership in the management of the NITRD program, such as preparing, maintaining, and conducting SOPs and other internal controls.
  • Managing the contract metrics, performance, and onboarding of all team members.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for the day-to-day contract support operations.
  • Prepare, coordinate and brief periodic status meetings to the government PM and COR.
  • Prepare monthly status reports containing performance and expenditures.
  • Engage stakeholders across the Federal government, academia, private sector, and international efforts.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or related field.
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.
  • 5+ years' experience managing over 10 employees in a dispersed office environment.
  • Demonstrate strong management and leadership skills;
  • Experience working within a Federal government environment.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a small team environment
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.


Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Management or related field.
  • Holds Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA Level II-III in Program Management and/or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
