Job Summary

Aptive is seeking an experienced Executive Secretary for a potential contract supporting the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) Program. The Executive Secretary will be experienced and highly qualified to support at a variety of levels from high-level engagement with Subcommittee membership to support for meeting logistics. The Executive Secretary will also provide support for the NCO Director's communications and interactions with OSTP, OMB, GAO, Congressional, and other high-level engagements.

This is a mid-level, full-time position onsite in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Schedule NITRD Subcommittee meetings, considering the co-chair's schedules and Federal and other holidays.
  • Serve as administrative and logistics coordinator for the NITRD Subcommittee Meetings.
  • Develop final draft of NITRD Subcommittee meeting agenda and draft talking pointing for the NCO leadership.
  • Coordinate review of final draft agenda with NITRD Subcommittee co-chairs.
  • Update content of the NITRD MAX.gov page.
  • Serve as the administrative liaison to OSTP and NSTC.
  • Prepare and submit correspondence on behalf of the NCO leadership.
  • Coordinate office activities for travel, badging, meeting rooms, logistical support for workshops with Executive Support task.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.
  • 5 or more years of executive support experience, with advanced organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus, both orally and in writing
  • Experience reading/interpreting management policy, regulations, and directives
  • Ability to work effectively with a group or independently
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects at one time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • A Public Trust security clearance or higher.
