Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Program Analyst, Jr, for a High Reliability Organization (HRO) initiative with demonstrated experience in a government and/or commercial healthcare environment and experience conducting detailed analyses of both qualitative and qualitative healthcare data. In this role, the Program Analyst, Jr. will be responsible for supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration's (VHA) journey to become an HRO across 170+ sites of care.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in a large program with multiple concurrent workstreams, multiple subcontractors, and focuses on a number of complex initiatives that address, implement and apply HRO sustainment across the health system.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of both qualitative and quantitative healthcare data to draw conclusions and develop pertinent and insightful recommendations.
  • Conduct analysis of outcomes within the team.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders in utilizing and continuously evaluating and improving existing enterprise-level tools, organizational structures and systems, and strategies to facilitate the development and sustainment of safe and reliable care practices with a focus on leadership commitment, patient safety culture and continuous process improvement.
  • Focus on project delivery and business and technical integration.
  • Support the project team and daily operations of project development, project delivery and oversight of key business enablers on projects to achieve the project objectives and goals.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders across the healthcare system.
  • Understand technical guidance to the project team in performance of the work, and incorporate the level of quality for all work products.
  • Find patterns in data and clearly articulate the entire analysis (e.g., methodology, results, assumptions, constraints) and key takeaways in a way that is understandable to lay people and researchers alike.Utilize data and comparative analytical processes in recommending design and implementation of innovative programs to improve service excellence, customer satisfaction and compliance to patient care and regulatory standards
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports, presentations, and charts based on research, collection, and analysis of data.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience using statistical software or programming language to manipulate data sets and conducting analysis (e.g., SAS, SPSS, STATA, R, Python).
  • Ability to use data visualizations tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Pyramid Analytics.
  • Strong hands-on analytical, project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work during regular business hours to attend all client and internal team meetings during the work week.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.


Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field of study (preferred).
  • Understand research methodologies commonly utilized in the health care innovation space and be able to help recommend research methodologies with limited client input.
