Aptive is currently seeking a Logistics Analyst-Aeronautical Fuel Support (AFS) and Fuel Support Equipment (AFSE) to support our Mission Support Services business line, on a program for the United States Coast Guard (USCG)

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) provides centralized logistics support for all USCG aviation missions. As the sole industrial complex for USCG aviation, ALC provides: depot level maintenance, engineering, supply, procurement, acquisition, and information services. ALC's mission supports twenty-five (25) USCG aviation units that operate approximately two hundred (200) aircraft. These air stations are located throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Additionally, ALC supports USCG Headquarters, Aviation Technical Training Center (ATTC), and USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC). Technical Support Services are required to support the mission of ALC in various divisions: Engineering Services Division (ESD), Operational Division (OPS), Medium Range Surveillance (MRS), Medium Range Recovery (MRR), Long Range Surveillance (LRS), Safety and Environmental Health Office (SEHO), and the Support Equipment (SE). Other ALC divisions may be added at a later date.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist AGSE\AFSE Program Manger when
- Receive reports from field activities of maintenance problems and requesting technical assistance. Provide analysis and recommendations for problemresolution, monitor fleet wide maintenance and repair costs, and incorporate improvements
- Conduct market research of AFS/AFSE maintenance services to collect and assemble information including, but not limited to, technical data packages, price, availability, quality initiatives in relation to ANSI and ISO 9000 requirements, source approval, and validation process and vendor Market research mayinclude assisting during site surveys to verify information previously assembled.
- Develop and update mandatory periodic inspection within the ACMS MandatorySpecial Requirements (MSR) system for all support equipment sustained by the Engineering Support Branch (ESB).
- Write MPCs enabling technicians to properly sustain AFSE supported by the ESBIAW CGTO PG-85-00-230-A and applicable technical documents.
- Generate Deficiency Reports (CG-22s) for AFSE technical publications IAW CGTOPG- 85-00-20-A and applicable technical documents.
- Assist in the periodic revision of COMDTINST 1 (series), CGTO PG 85-00- 150-A, CGTO PG 85-00-110-A, CGTO PG-85-00-170 and other policy or procedure documents.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five (5) years' experience in aviation fueling operations, fuel testing,troubleshooting failed fuel results and fuel support equipment.
- Experience locating, monitoring, and evaluating other services' and OEM technical change directives within the maintenance, engineering and logistics disciplines for applicability to aircraft support systems, for direct or indirect applicable to theapplicable aircraft program and provide justified recommended action.
- Experience developing and writing technical Able to independently developand write complex technical orders including schematics, drawing and figures.
- Experience developing and writing maintenance procedure cards includingschematics and figures.
- Experience reading and interpreting manufacturer blue prints and technical drawingsand understand engineering specifications to resolve engineering technical questions.
- Experience working on complex engineering projects that require thorough researchand coordination with engineering personnel.
- Experience providing aircraft technical specifications and support to Divisions,Product Lines, or operational units in support of aircraft fuel servicing support equipment purchases, troubleshooting and interface issues within applicable discipline.
- Experience troubleshooting fuel systems discrepancies and relay informationto operational units or product line on fuel support equipment.
- Experience communicating complex fuel support equipment troubleshooting dataover email or phone clearly and accurately.
- Experience communicating to ALC ESD to validate aviation fuel quality assurance procedures throughout the aviation community's bulk fuel storage locations, bothshore- based and shipboard. Procedures that accurately determine quantity and fuel inventory reporting, streamline accounting procedures, and reduce petroleum waste shall be promulgated via CGTO PG-85-00-170.
