Job Summary

Aptive is currently seeking a Asset Maintenance Analyst - MRR Projects to support our Mission Support Services business line, on a program for the United States Coast Guard (USCG)

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) provides centralized logistics support for all USCG aviation missions. As the sole industrial complex for USCG aviation, ALC provides: depot level maintenance, engineering, supply, procurement, acquisition, and information services. ALC's mission supports twenty-five (25) USCG aviation units that operate approximately two hundred (200) aircraft. These air stations are located throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Additionally, ALC supports USCG Headquarters, Aviation Technical Training Center (ATTC), and USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC). Technical Support Services are required to support the mission of ALC in various divisions: Engineering Services Division (ESD), Operational Division (OPS), Medium Range Surveillance (MRS), Medium Range Recovery (MRR), Long Range Surveillance (LRS), Safety and Environmental Health Office (SEHO), and the Support Equipment (SE). Other ALC divisions may be added at a later date.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research CG-
  • Respond to ALC and field unit support
  • Perform all project management requirements for Medium Range Recovery (MRR) Projects Branch at the Coast Guard's Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) toinclude by not limited to HQ data calls.
  • Drafting, baselining, distribution and consistent updates of project workbreakdown structures (WBS), GANTT charts, PERT charts, or any applicable scheduling and management software or database.
  • Provide oversight of supply chain management and budget management for theMH-60T initiatives to include fleet growth and Air Station Transitions.
  • Conduct market research to collect and assemble information including, but not limited to: technical data packages, price, availability, quality initiatives in relationto ANSI and ISO 9000 requirements, source approval and validation process, and vendor capabilities and vendor past performance for MH-60T Fleet expansion.
  • Conduct reverse engineering efforts, including, but not limited to, assembly Level III technical data packages, request creation of technical drawings, review drafts ofdrawings for accuracy, coordinate ALC local manufacture of parts, coordinate or conduct first article and prototype installation or testing of newly manufactured parts, including the Form, Fit, and Function process, identify, assess, and recommend resolution for reliability and maintainability problems IAW ALCINST 13020.10 (series), CGTO PG- 85-00-240-A and ALCINST 13020.14 (series).
  • Write, review and update policy, procedure and process documents, including,but not limited to, technical manuals, MPCs, TCTO, SICRs, ESRs, SRs, Product Quality Deficiency Report (PQDR)s, ACCB requests, COMDTINSTmanuals, process guides, IAW applicable ALC and USCG applicable documented guidelines and generally accepted commercial or military maintenance or design processes.
  • Generate SICRs for applicable aircraft parts IAW ALCINST 1 (series).
  • Execute Service Submit information to the Government for acceptanceIAW ALCINST 13020.11 (series).

  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use computer systems for a variety of purposes such as databases, work processing, graphics, USCG ALMIS, USCG AMMIS, or equivalentmilitary
  • Ability to perform trend
  • Review and analyze date and items for interchangeability or substitution, tolerancefact of special equipment components, standardization, inventory consolidation, long lead time items, support items, proprietary issues, and multiple sources of supply.
  • Tracing and obtaining status of requisitions, contracts, and orders usingautomated or manual files and through interaction with procurement personnel,supply technicians, inventory managers, and engineers.
  • Interpret manufacturer blue prints and technical drawings and understandengineering specifications to resolve engineering technical questions.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Have a combined minimum twelve (12) years of H-60 airframe maintenance Maintenance experience includes mechanic and/or engineering technician positions.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in current production configuration ofthe USCG's MH-60T aircraft is preferred.
  • Experience working on complex engineering projects that require thorough researchand coordination with engineering personnel.


Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience with the Coast Guard highly preferred
