The role will support the transformation of forms to digitalartifacts using Ellucian workflow. Experience in understanding how technologies worktogether, working with teams, and business process improvement is essential. This positionwill also assist with the maintenance of the Office of the University Registrar's website anddrafting standard office communication, instructional guides, and videos.The Digital Transformation Specialist will collaborate with members of Mason's Information Technology Services to drive the successful design, development, and implementation ofdigital workflow solutions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of student academic records atGeorge Mason University.Reporting to the Business Analyst for Operations & Continuity, and in partnership withUniversity stakeholders, unit team members, and technical administrators within InformationTechnology Services, the Digital Transformation Specialist will:Maintain an inventory of forms considered for digital transformation along with priority ranking and status details;Lead and facilitate working sessions with members of the University to understand their needs and capture desired outcomes with a solution-focused lens that provideexcellent service to the Mason community;Document business processes and conduct process mapping (e.g., Visio) to facilitate the design of a future state in a workflow tool;Write and present requirements utilized for workflow development;Participate in ongoing process meetings with members of Mason Information Technology Services through design, implementation, testing, and go-live;Support the preparation of User Acceptance Testing and facilitate testing cycles with functional users capturing sign-off from key stakeholders;Support continuous improvement by collecting feedback and embracing an iterative process.Required Qualifications:The ideal candidate must have effective communication skills, demonstrated ability to take initiative, and the ability to work independently. Candidates should be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;Demonstrated experience with a Workflow management tool;Experience creating user acceptance test plans and executing UAT (User AcceptanceTesting);Experience with business process analysis and mapping, process modeling, andtechnical writing;Experience with user interface issues pertaining to navigation, usability, and functionality;Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders;Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical colleagues;Active listening skills, ability to ask questions and probe to uncover issues;Ability to work collaboratively within a team and more broadly with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization;Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing priorities whileworking independently to drive projects to completion with minimum guidance andhigh attention to detail;Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and complete assigned projects and other miscellaneous tasks;Commitment to providing effective service.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in administering student records in a Banner administrative environment or similar background with an aptitude for learning new software system;Experience interfacing with an IT organization;Knowledge of curriculum and academic program structures in a universityenvironment;Knowledge of project implementation and project management;Facilitative leadership style, with prior experience leading workshops and engaging stakeholders through a series of approaches that require a targeted level of consensus.
