Project CoordinatorGeorge Mason University, Information Technology Services (ITS), located on the Fairfax, VA campus, invites applications for a Project Coordinator position within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:The Project Coordinator works collaboratively with the Application Analysts, Director of FAST, Director of ERP, and our business partners in HR and Fiscal Services, the Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the triage of incoming requests to the ERP team, completing and managing small projects that come out of those requests from beginning to end. Work includes processing and documenting requests related to Banner HR security and MicroStrategy security; report creation, audit reports, and Banner release and upgrade testing. It is imperative that the project coordinator has the planning and coordination skills to successfully support multiple ongoing and ad-hoc activities that contribute to these learning spaces to achieve successful outcomes.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;Demonstrated experience with data analysis, Microsoft Office (Excel and Access);Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills - the ability to craft and deliver a message to audiences ranging from staff to executive level management;Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with an IT Project Management lifecycle;Skill in effective organization; demonstrated attention to detail;Demonstrated ability to adjust priorities, manage time wisely, and make quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment;Demonstrated ability to manage and work on multiple projects/tasks while meeting tight deadlines;Ability to work as part of a team with moderate supervision; andDemonstrated commitment to continual learning.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with George Mason University processes and procedures;Experience using Ellucian Banner or similar ERP in higher education;Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project, or other project-management related software; andProject Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Salary is commensurate with education and experience.George Mason University is a great place to work where employees are given an opportunity to develop skills and expand horizons.
