Principal Risk Associate (Card Risk Team)
The Risk Manager (Principal Associate) will have the opportunity to apply risk management and analytical skills to some of our highest profile Risk Management initiatives, including the reduction of manual process risks in US Card operational areas. The Risk Manager (Principal Associate) will work horizontally across US Card with multiple functions to inventory, evaluate, prioritize, execute and report on manual process risk reduction in the organization. This role will also lead governance and decisioning over new manual process prevention. Integration and coordination across operational, process and technical teams will be critical in successfully reducing manual risks. The Risk Manager (Principal Associate) will also have the opportunity to lead other strategic initiatives driven out of US Card Risk that will rely on project planning and execution skills. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated risk professional with excellent analytical, process improvement, and communication skills. The Risk Manager (Principal Associate) will have exposure across lines of business and the opportunity to work with leadership to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to US Card.

- Serve as a leader, interfacing with business and technical teams, to consult on manual process risks and solutions to minimize them
- Oversee the data associated with manual process inventories to ensure accuracy and actionable information that will drive meaningful reduction results
- Develop a deep understanding of data to gather insights in individual business units and across teams to develop remediation solutions
- Manage executive level reporting with a focus on the information that leadership teams need to know in order to prioritize and allocate resources toward the execution of high impact opportunities
- Manage the data infrastructure for how process information is collected, updated, stored and fed to reporting
- Interface with risk and intent forums to understand the connections of how business strategies impact manual processes
- Create executive level communication on Program progress, status, impediments and escalation needs
- Autonomously drive additional project and program work, relying on outstanding communication, analytical and project management skills
- Experiences with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applicable to event strategies
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in risk management
- At least 2 years of leading operational processes and improvement opportunities
- At least 2 years of experience in project management and leading cross functional initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree
- Six-Sigma Certification
- Knowledge of Robotics Process Automation (RPA) or Machine Learning
- 1+ years of experience in building and managing reports in Tableau
- 1+ years of experience with managing data infrastructures (Snowflake) and data connectivity between processes
- 2+ years of experience working in the financial services industry
- Risk Management certification
