Job Description

The Washington Post is looking for a highly motivated event specialist with exceptional skills in organization and customer service to independently manage sponsor deliverables and marketing campaigns for live programs. This person will be communicating regularly with high-profile clients to oversee the benefits they receive as part of event sponsorships; in doing so, the role requires project management working with clients, senior leadership and program stakeholders, problem-solving and creativity in building out sponsor-specific custom content, attention to detail in implementing sponsor fulfillment and critical thinking to evaluate success and make recommendations for future partnerships.

You would be joining a fast-paced, highly collaborative and creative team that produced more than 430 programs in 2021.

Job responsibilities:
  • Manage Washington Post Live sponsor deliverables and benefits post-sale
  • Create and oversee project timelines, including marketing campaigns and overseeing sponsor and team deadlines
  • Communicate regularly with external clients, senior leadership and internal stakeholders to deliver updates and manage communication flow
  • Lead calls independently with high-profile clients
  • Propose and create best practices. Problem solve internally and externally to create solutions for clients.
  • Apply creative thinking and research to develop engaging event sponsor content.
  • Leverage campaign performance data and industry insights to create strategic marketing and partnership recommendations
  • Create post-event recaps and present externally to senior stakeholders


Qualifications
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service and project management
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight, lead calls and present information to external stakeholders
  • Collaborate and prioritize effectively to manage multiple high-stakes projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding skills in time management, organization and teamwork
  • Strong writing, copyediting and research ability
  • Advanced skill level of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong media, marketing, agency, client mangement or project management background (3+ years)
  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university
