As the Engineering Consulting Manager, reporting to the Director of Customer Enablement, you manage a team of expert engineering consultants providing the highest quality customer service. You will help them solve client problems and answer advanced technical questions. You will coordinate with other managers to ensure clients are successfully supported throughout their time on Arc XP.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 3 to 5 engineering consultants at various stages of their careers
  • Track team allocation and availability and help plan/kickoff new projects
  • Create, edit, and mentor junior team members through the solution creation and documentation process
  • Work with product and platform stakeholders to stay up to date on the newest features and products
  • When necessary, manage client escalations and create quick and thorough solutions
  • Communicate team impact and results to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Design and implement scalable processes, increase efficiencies and exceed client expectation


Qualifications

A successful candidate should have:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years experience in software engineering and engineering management roles
  • 3+ years working in client-facing consulting roles, supporting technical and non-technical questions from clients or partners.
  • Experience leading small teams and managing junior team members
  • Experience in at least one server side programming language; JavaScript, Python, etc.
  • Experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs, preferably within the React JavaScript framework
  • Experience architecting and implementing scalable SaaS or Cloud-based applications
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking, judgment, time management, collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to use a consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for several days at a time and take occasional off-hours meetings with clients and partners.
