The Ridge School seeks to hire an IEP Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As an IEP Coordinator you will:
•Serve as a classroom teacher by implementing appropriate lesson plans and IEP/PEP goals
•Work independently and meet assigned deadlines
•Implement the school wide behavior management system
•Provide a therapeutic milieu conducive to teaching students with emotional disturbance
•Demonstrate knowledge of emotional disturbance and ability to establish therapeutic relationships with students as it contributes to critical success factors of the organization
•Administer effective and appropriate strategies during a crisis intervention
•Demonstrate professional conduct as it contributes to the critical success factors and values of the organization
•Exhibit flexibility and adapt quickly to changes when confronted with high levels of work stress
•Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance own knowledge of emotional disturbance and instructional strategies

Qualifications include:
•Minimum Bachelor's degree, Masters degree preferred
•Minimum of 1 year experience teaching students with emotional disabilities preferred
•Must be eligible for MD teacher certification
•Able to handle a stressful, fast paced, multi-task environment
•Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
•Maintain emotional and personal equilibrium during crisis situations
•Able to physically restrain students
•Basic computer skills, use of telephone, fax, copier and other basic office equipment
•Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
