Job Summary:
Westat is seeking an IT tester who can perform tests at all stages of application development, including functional, usability, integration, regression, smoke, load/stress, and performance testing. You will work closely with developers and non-technical project staff.
Job Responsibilities:
• Create, maintain, and execute Test Plans, Manual Test Cases, Automated Test Scripts, and SQL Queries to develop testing data points.
• Validate test results, as well as other system documentation, including Test Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrices, and Integration.
• Verification and Validation of test summary reports.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites across multiple environments: Web, Web Services, Oracle and back-end applications.
Basic Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years of testing and test automation experience is required.
• U.S. Citizenship required by contract
Preferred Qualifications:
• Testing experience with Java, .NET, and Oracle-based software applications as well as reporting and tracking issues using the bug-tracking software JIRA.
• Demonstrated experience in executing regression, functional, and system software testing functions; analyzing and verifying results; producing test summaries and creating defect report.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Excellent attention to detail as well as organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
