Capital One's Workforce Development team invests in removing barriers, creating access and opportunities to roles at Capital One, and growing participants' skills and experience. Our mission is to invest in communities and our business by removing barriers to entry for talent that lacks access to employment or education opportunities. Our Workforce development programs focus on building the skills, knowledge, behaviors, and social capital needed for individuals to find employment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Capital One is looking for a talented Recruiter to join our Workforce Development Program Team. The team is looking for a progressive, team-oriented colleague with a mindset and commitment to community service, collaboration and business impact.

As part of Capital One's Workforce Development Programs Recruiting team, you will be on a high-performing team specifically focused on driving the recruiting and selection processes for our Workforce Development programs portfolio. This role will deliver business returns to Capital One including Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Future Edge storytelling, and reputation work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work cross-functionally across a team of high performing recruiters and promote a culture of inspiration, empowerment and inclusion
  • Contribute collaboratively to the team and navigate and influence the organization; specifically partnering with External Affairs, Community Affairs, and other enterprise partners
  • Partner to identify and build recruiting process enhancements
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects
  • Leverage recruiting data to proactively provide status updates and hiring results to leadership and HR partners
  • Use tools to track candidates in the recruiting process and pull reports, taking feedback and making adjustments
  • Build, develop and deliver candidate communications
  • Develop & deliver recruiter communications and training; this includes facilitating recruiter training
  • Manage internal and external relationships to support the development and scaling of programs


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Corporate Recruiting or Campus Programs OR 3 years of experience in human resources
  • At least 1 year of client consulting experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Google G Suite applications


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year of experience in Project Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in community engagement, corporate volunteerism, or non-profit
  • Demonstrated passion for diversity, equity, and belonging
  • Strong attention to detail and results oriented
  • Ability to to function in a complex, ambiguous environment with many stakeholders and priorities - ability to multi-task is a MUST
  • Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, influence, and problem-solving skills across all stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Must have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in recruiting systems (Workday)
