Capital One's Enterprise Risk Management Team has responsibility for helping the overall organization identify, manage, and mitigate key risks that may keep the company from achieving its strategic objectives. Managing risk is for our businesses, our customers, our communities and our associates. ERM is currently hiring for a Director to join its Risk Advisory & Oversight team. The Director will have the opportunity to apply their risk management and analytical skills to some of our highest profile Risk Management projects, including implementing solutions to ensure Capital One's continued stability and success.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is seeking a Director to lead the Launch Risk Assessment (LAUNCH) program, formerly known as NPMIG. LAUNCH is a key risk management process at Capital One designed to prudently manage the risks associated with introducing new, expanded, or modified products, services, practices or processes

• Oversees LAUNCH requirements and standards
  
• Evaluates the program against internal and external requirements and manages adherence
  
• Identifies and drives strategic opportunities to enhance the program
  
• Partners with business areas to ensure appropriate local execution of the program
  
• Manages audit and regulatory exams and requests
  
• Acts as business owner for the LAUNCH system of record
  
• Ensures Quality Assurance activities occur including the identification and remediation of key issues
  
• Monitors the performance of the overall program against quantitative and qualitative metrics
  
• Manages a team of 3 associates to execute the LAUNCH agenda
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  
• At least 5 years of relevant risk management or compliance experience (or equivalent)
  
• At least 3 years leading a team
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree (MBA or J.D. a plus)
  
• 6+ years of risk management or compliance experience (or equivalent)
  
• 4+ years leading a team
