UX Content Strategist

The Emerging Merchant Businesses (EMB) team is hiring a UX Content Strategist who will support the Capital One Flex Pay design team. Flex Pay is an intuitive payment option that provides increased transparency, flexibility, and protection over existing Buy Now, Pay Later products for customers and merchants.

The ideal candidate will have experience in content strategy, research, governance, and UX writing. Makes thoughtful design decisions based on a combination of customer needs and business objectives. Experience with or an interest in working with marketing or brand teams is a plus.

  • Someone who approaches assignments from a customer-centric perspective, while also understanding higher-level business and marketing objectives

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least five years of experience with UX or technical writing
  • At least three year of experience working in user experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience with digital content strategy
  • 2+ years of experience designing for digital products and interactions
  • Experience developing content for digital marketing
  • Experience working with remote teams (we're based in both Richmond and McLean, Virginia and have partners across the country)
