Part-Time Development Assistant - University LibrariesThe George Mason University Libraries is recruiting a part-time Development Assistant to be a member of the Development Team within the Office of the Dean of the University Libraries and University Librarian. The incumbent will assist in all matters related to the development operations of the team, to include: preparing donor acknowledgement letters as well as endowment letters, correspondence; managing and reviewing donor records, reports, and files, as well as running confidential donor reports and mailing lists; preparing materials for the University Libraries Advisory Board and donors; general duties as assigned. Incumbent will work on university systems such as Microsoft Office 365 and interface with a new CRM (SalesForce).Required Qualifications:Demonstrated office experience; computer skills to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; capability of learning to use university administrative systems; excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work both independently and as a member of a team; ability to work under pressure and with deadlines; ability to follow complex instructions; ability to work in a confidential manner; and a professional demeanor.This is a part-time, 29-hours-per-week, non-benefited position in an office that is open year-round.About the Department:The George Mason University library system, comprised of a large central library and three other distinctive libraries, is located on three campuses in the Northern Virginia metropolitan Washington, D.C., region.
