Job Summary:
Westat has an immediate opening for a qualified individual to join a dynamic program in public health-related social marketing and health communication. The successful candidate will have experience in digital and social media strategy, social media content development, and paid social media campaigns. Experience with a range of public health topics, including health disparities, is preferred. 

Job Responsibilities:
•    Use a strategic approach to social media, developing content that is engaging, uses platform best practices, and meets project goals. 
•    Develop accurate, compelling, audience-appropriate content for digital and social platforms. 
•    Manage paid social media campaigns.
•    Work with a graphic designer or use graphic design skills to create engaging social media graphics to accompany social media messages.
•    Direct and conduct social media listening and media monitoring activities, including analysis and reporting.
•    Provide leadership in maintaining client relationships, delivering strategic council, and troubleshooting project-related issues.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
•    A Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, public health, or related field with at least 8 years of experience, including experience as a digital/social media strategist and content developer or a Master's degree in communications, public health, or related field with at least 6 years of experience, including experience as a digital/social media strategist and content developer. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Experience with a range of public health topics, including health disparities. 
•    Experience leading and contributing to business development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Must be familiar with best practices in integrated marketing communications, social marketing, and have demonstrated ability to lead the execution of these tasks.
•    Proven ability to consistently make sound judgments and effectively collaborate with project team members. 
•    Innovative communications strategist with excellent organization and management skills.
•    Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
