Job Summary:
Westat is seeking Statisticians to join our internationally respected, highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The position includes developing sample designs, sampling frames, imputation methods, weighting schemes and variance estimation methods, data preparation and cleaning, data analysis, and statistical modeling for a wide variety of studies.
This is a full time position with a flexible hybrid schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop sample designs; construct appropriate sample frames and select samples;
• Develop weighting, nonresponse adjustment and imputation procedures; implement methods for estimation of sampling errors;
• Prepare and clean data for statistical purposes, perform statistical analyses and modeling;
• Perform project quality review and prepare deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
• A Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science or other quantitative field. Qualified students must complete their degree by August 2022.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with non-statisticians.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Candidates will benefit from knowing R, SAS, or other statistical software
