Venturi, LLC, a, Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Technical Advisor who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. This individual will directly support the TCM Chief Engineer with responses to data calls and action items, prepare briefing packages, track and report status of activities and issue resolution, prioritize and coordinate group activities, facilitate meetings, and represent the Chief Engineer in meetings, etc.

This individual will directly support the TCM Chief Engineer with responses to data calls and action items, prepare briefing packages, track and report status of activities and issue resolution, prioritize and coordinate group activities, facilitate meetings, and represent the Chief Engineer in meetings, etc.
Responsibilities
- Review and provide comments on Prime Contractor Objective Evidence in support of major milestone reviews (e.g. SRRs, PDRs, CDRs)
- Represent the interests of the customer and perform lead/supporting roles in Failure Review Boards, Working Groups, Integrated Product Teams, Engineering Review Boards, Material Review Boards, and Technical Interchange Meetings
- Identify and support to the resolution of complex engineering issues that can involve multiple engineering functional areas within MDA as well as at the contractor and supporting FFRDCs
- Review prime contractor proposals and plans for sound technical approaches that meet requirements within the program schedule and cost baseline
- Provide ongoing review and assessment to the government regarding contractor program execution and technical requirements/data (specifications, analyses, test plans/reports) throughout program period of performance
- Monitor all aspects of the target system, including missile and payload assembly, integration and test activities
- Develop briefings and decision packages for Targets and MDA leadership
- Travel to contractor and test locations CONUS/OCONUS (approximately 25% travel)
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Master of Science or Master of Arts degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR
- BA/BS degree with 20+ years of experience in lieu of the MA/MS degree requirement
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability who can excel with minimal guidance and customer oversight
- Works independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems
- Must be able to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams
- Understanding of BMDS threats, the operational systems employed across the layered defense, and the utilization of targets to test these systems
- Capability to develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel
- Familiarity with acquisition and systems engineering processes
- Prior experience working directly with prime contractors and FFRDCs on behalf of the government
- Technical proposal development and evaluation
- Experience with Microsoft tools (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated prior experience on multiple accounts of directly supporting government customer senior leadership, including Chief Engineers, Program Managers, SES, and similar caliber
- Active secret clearance
- The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief
Desired Skills:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 15+ years related experience with missile and space component/system design, test and evaluation
- Prior experience with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or Targets and Countermeasures (TC) Program Offices
- Must be able to maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
