Primary Purpose

Supports Emmes' CFO by leading global cost structure management, preparing the monthly consolidated financial statements, supporting technical accounting needs, and partnering with Finance & Accounting leaders on process and system improvements. Conducts financial analysis related to cost structure modeling and cost-impact analysis to inform decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Indirect cost structure management, including disclosure statements, managing incurred cost audits, and completing incurred cost submissions
  • Work effectively with individuals both within the Finance and Accounting Department as well as outside the department and proactively work with internal stakeholders to assess the operations of the organization and make favorable cost structure recommendations
  • Assess and direct allocation of shared services costs across the global organization
  • Prepare the monthly consolidated financial statements, including translation of international accounting principles to U.S. GAAP, translation of foreign currency to reporting currency, and recording eliminating entries
  • Providing technical accounting support related to a range of transactions, including ASC 805 business combinations, software development costs, and software sales
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance leaders on process improvements, including system assessment and implementation efforts
  • Support integration of affiliate entities into Emmes' financial reporting
  • Lead or assist with ad-hoc assignments and analysis as needed
  • Supports financial statement audit and single audits in accordance with section 200.514
  • Promote a high-quality customer experience for both internal and external clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant management experience
  • Experience working in a Federal Government Contracting environment required
  • Experience working in the life sciences industry preferred
  • Utilizing financial systems, including Microsoft Excel, Costpoint Enterprise Reporting, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and other tools
  • Strong organization, time management, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively with others to achieve goals
  • Self-starter and detail-oriented
