Adventist HealthCare seeks an Intern to work in our LifeWork Strategies department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As an Intern, you will:
• LifeWork Strategies' mission is to deliver a continuum of excellent Employer Health Services and management products to effectively control health care costs and improve the physical, mental and spiritual health and well-being of the clients and stakeholders.
• LifeWork Strategies provides Employee Assistance Programs and Well-being Services to Adventist HealthCare employees and the business community in DC, VA, and MD.
• Support organizations in their efforts to maintain a healthy and productive workforce
• Provide health education directly to employees
• Create initiatives specific to personal health interests
• Utilize social media and other channels of communication to engage clients
• Learn and conduct health screenings (Blood Pressure, Body Composition, etc.)
• Gather screening data to compile aggregate reports
• Participate in annual and seasonal on-site health and wellness events
• Design and implement well-being programs and disease management programs
• Assist in the development of well-being strategies that contribute to cost savings
• Learn about workplace well-being in light of new healthcare reform and new health trends
Qualifications include:
• Pursuing a degree in an area such as public health, health promotion, marketing, business administration, healthcare management, kinesiology, or exercise science.

Work Schedule:
Day Shift, Monday - Friday, some nights or weekends are possible.
