The Lourie Center Head Start, Adventist HealthCare, is hiring a full-time Early Intervention Specialist. We are currently offering a $3,000 sign-on incentive to qualified candidates!

We're seeking an experienced Early Intervention Specialist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As the Early Intervention Specialist, you will:
•Support the Lourie Center Head Start Program's Early Intervention Services which includes supporting high need classrooms with children who have developmental concerns, disabilities, developmental delays, and IFSPs/IEPs by providing and implementing intensive and intentional Response to Tiered Intervention (RTI) strategies to proactively empower staff to preemptively and positively engage in children's developmental progress.
•Assist in ensuring that all children are receiving high-quality, scientifically based instruction to establish whether developmental concerns are or are not due to inadequate instruction through observation.
•Create Individual Action Plans (ICP) for children with developmental concerns and behaviors suspected to be related to developmental concerns.
•Utilize the ASQ-3, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and ChildPlus to track the progress of children with developmental concerns to contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings

Qualifications Include:
•Bachelors in Early Childhood Education required, Bachelors Degree related to Special Education preferred
•5 years teaching experience in an ECE inclusive and/or special education setting
•3 years working directly with adults in an ECE inclusive and/or special education setting.
•Must have valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check. Must have reliable transportation.
•Must be willing to travel out of town to professional development, including travel that may require flying
•Knowledge of child development, American with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
•Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards
•Knowledge of Practiced Based Coaching principles and ideas
•Knowledge of Head Start Early Learning Framework
