Job Description

Position Overview
  • The Audience Insights Analyst plays a critical role in informing the go-to-market narrative on our readers, their behaviors, and how that distinguishes The Post from others.
  • This person will be responsible for:
    • Surfacing compelling insights by synthesizing findings across disparate data points including internal custom research, site behavior, and syndicated sources.
    • Developing client facing collateral that communicates audience stories through data visualization explains the value of our readership.
    • Managing ad hoc requests for insights on audience, format, and contextual interests.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or other related area
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in consulting, advertising, or other client-services environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Soft skills
    • Proactivity, communication, ownership, accountability, passion for the media and tech industry
  • Hard skills
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort with BI tools
  • Location: Washington, DC or NYC


Preferred qualifications
  • Data literate with proven ability to conduct exploratory data analysis and interpret statistics
    • Bonus points for experience with or interest in descriptive statistics, significance testing, optimization, or data visualization
