AARP's Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) Group includes Membership, Content and Editorial, Customer Experience, External Relations, Brand Strategy and Strategic Communications. Across paid, earned, shared and owned channels, ICM manages AARP's reputation, drives engagement and member growth, and showcases AARP's mission and value through one, integrated voice.

Plans and implements assigned projects. Determines resources needed, tracks budgets, determines scope and execution, tracks progress towards milestones, establishes timelines and evaluates progress. Manages project teams to deliver on project goals; establishes project communication plans and ensures internal/external stakeholders are informed regarding project processes and impact. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, coordinates, and manages stakeholders and resources for digital projects (including budgets). Identifies key decisions and risks and facilitate their solutions.
  • Creates and manages multiple work streams for a program/project, coordinating across teams and dependencies within and among projects to meet delivery deadlines. Plans and carries out quality tests and checks on digital deliverables, troubleshoot issues, and work with technical staff to resolve problems.
  • Leads groups of subject matter experts in discussions and problem-solving activities to advance delivery of scalable and efficient digital solutions. Partners with design and technical staff to translate business needs into application and operational requirements.
  • Looks for creative solutions that satisfy the business needs and align with our digital strategy, platforms, and best practices. Articulates and executes on digital strategies that support business deliverables.
  • Manages stakeholder communications and expectations throughout the process. Creates and maintains project plans and accompanying documentation, to include a formal project plan and written business communications.
  • Utilizes knowledge of digital technology in order to organize and execute work with technical and business teams, to include large scale content management systems, industry standard identity and security solutions, and mobile solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years business experience, including 5+ years digital program, project or product management and client management experience for a large, consumer facing organization.
  • Demonstrated project team leadership skills; strong writing and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
  • In office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
