Duties

  • You will be responsible for the acquisition and life cycle support of Navy Service Craft.
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of Test and Evaluation for the PMS 317 programs (LCAC, LCU 1700 and LAW classes), including development of test strategies, plans, and funding requirements for each phase.
  • You will develop and control the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
  • You will ensure that the operational requirements as specified in the Capabilities Development Documents (CDD) and incorporated in the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) are adequately demonstrated.
  • You will brief OPNAV sponsors and customers and interface with Craft / Shipbuilders.
  • You will manage and direct a team of industry and government personnel to achieve program objectives.
  • You will prepare procurement documents and supporting documentation for budget submittals.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing or evaluating programmatic requirements for ship acquisition or life cycle support. (Examples of qualifying experience may include preparing technical documents, developing Test and Evaluation Master Plan, submitting funding justification for new programs).
