POSITION SUMMARY The Vice President, Change Management & Work Experience provides leadership for the HR Change Management practice area. This includes developing a high-performing team, establishing leading practices in the area of change management, and ensuring delivery on a broad portfolio of change initiatives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for advancing Marriott's Modern Work Strategy, which includes defining and leading pilots for new ways of working, with a particular focus on the new MIHQ campus.The position will actively collaborate with Executive Stakeholders within Marriott International, external partners, and potentially county officials. Additionally, the Vice President will lead efforts across a matrix organization which includes partnering with and influencing various levels of organizations to create modern workplace solutions that drive desired results. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Senior Practitioner Serving as a senior practitioner and team leader that partners with HR and other discipline leaders to drive and sustain behavioral change for key HR initiatives. Driving change management innovation, advocating and educating on solutions that may differ from past practices. Ensuring that associates have the skills and resources to effectively collaborate, leverage technology, and perform in their roles. Leveraging data and analytics to ensure focus on the most impactful opportunities for the business and to evaluate effectiveness of solutions. Practice Leader Attracting and developing a high-performing team, ensuring a strong bench of COE and HR talent. Accountability for ensuring focus on the highest-value projects for the company, as well as ensuring high quality project delivery - from scoping to activation of key deliverables. Ensuring that value is created through the application of sound change management practices. Seeking opportunities to leverage knowledge, resources and work activities across Ml departments/divisions. Modern Work Strategy Leads the implementation of our next generation work strategy for the new MIHQ, aligning key stakeholders on the types of experiences we want to offer our associates, partners, and service providers. Partners with leaders in Global Design, IT, and HR to ensure that space design, technology solutions, and workplace practices enable associate engagement and productivity. Develops, pilots, and evaluates programs to support new ways of working. IT Business Management - Ability to monitor and evaluate trends in technology, technology delivery mechanisms and IT organizational processes and tools. This includes the ability to redefine processes, make recommendations, and perfect process governance frameworks. CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED REQUIRED: 8 - 10 years of consulting, strategy, and project leadership experience. Proven success in consulting engagements, achieving business objectives, meeting facilitation, and effecting change. Expertise and proven track record in managing complex, multifunctional initiatives Experience developing and executing multi-year plans. Strong influencing, problem resolution, and process management skills. Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with excellent written and verbal communication. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to persuade and influence others, including those at senior organizational levels with strong client service skills Ability to enlist and motivate individuals and secure resources without direct authority Ability to form and foster high performing teams Detail oriented and highly professional Ability to recognize and manage corporate political climate. Ability to transfer knowledge and methodology to project team members. Education and Professional Certification Minimum undergraduate degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred 8-10 years experience in medium-or large-scale project leadership Major consulting firm experience preferred This position requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to the first date of employment, subject to applicable law.
