Quantum Space is leading the next commercial Space frontier with the development of our lunar robotic outpost- to provide data buy services, host payloads/instruments, deploy spacecraft, and perform space logistics for our partners.We're looking for an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer that is highly motivated, with the expertise to formulate, design, integrate, and test spacecraft electrical systems. Incumbent will lead in-house systems development activities, and define requirements and provide oversight for suppliers and partners.RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:Responsible for the design, integration, and testing of space flight Command & Data Handling, Electrical Power, Thermal Control, Mechanism Control systems, and electrical harnesses, and ensuring compatibility with the mission payloads/instruments.Providing electrical systems oversight and support to the S/C vendor and the payload/instrument organizations, and development and definition of subsystem and payload/instrument electrical requirements and interfaces.Providing support in the planning, organizing, scheduling, managing, and directing of electrical systems related activities during the design, development, fabrication and assembly, integration and test and launch of space flight systems.Participating in project status meetings, telecons, peer reviews, and major project reviews for spacecraft, payloads/instruments, launch vehicle, mission operations system, and instrument data system.Supporting requirements definition, flow-down, validation and verification.Preparing/Reviewing project documentation and submitting comments and recommendationsPreparing and presenting technical information for technical meetings/reviews/ briefings.Participating in payload/instrument, spacecraft and integrated flight system testing and anomaly resolution activities, as required.Analyzing configuration, design, and procedural changes.Travelling to vendor sites to support testing.QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering.At least 7 years of relevant experience.Strong ability to independently lead and interact with distributed team membersKnowledge of satellite and instrument design, integration, and testKnowledge of launch and mission operationsWorking knowledge of the following programming languages: C, C++, JavaExperience using VHDL and SQLCompetency in Microsoft Office, MATLAB, SIMULINK, and PSPICEQuantum Space is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer as defined by the EEOC.
