Description Our well-respected client is hiring a Human Resource Generalist to join their team due to contract award and growing business. The HR Generalist or HR Business Partner we seek will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department, including HR Generalist duties for employees within portfolio (assigned contracts) and internal corporate HR objectives. Main assignments will involve comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and working with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for company employees. Apply today if you are a motivated and organized HR professional that enjoys a fast-paced work environment with multi-faceted responsibilities!+ Assesses personnel policies, programs, and procedures and informs employee and management personnel on the interpretation of them+ Oversees planning and deployment of employee engagement activities: Happy Hours, Annual Holiday Party, Ad-Hoc events, Summer Picnic, Employee Appreciation luncheons, etc.; Responsible for development of other activities to improve engagement and retention, as well+ Partners with HRBP counterpart to deliver new employee orientation (held first Monday of the month), and makes ongoing improvements to the program+ 401k Administration: oversees administrative tasks under 401k plan (loans, quarterly enrollment seminars w/broker)+ HR Generalist duties: resolving employee issues and employee relations; answering employee questions; general HR issues, researching issues to find best practice and recommends changes; benefit administration (review, approve, track)+ Conducts employee surveys, annual employee satisfaction, best places to work, etc.+ FMLA/STD-LTD management, tracking, and reporting+ Ensures compliance with E-Verify and USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits I-9 forms+ Monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures all performance reviews are completed within 30 days of the due date+ Serves as point of contact for questions from Finance regarding payroll+ Conducts monthly HR Site visits, which are used to determine employee engagement and address any HR concerns with offsite & virtual employees+ Conducts annual HR Audit to ensure compliance with laws and regulations; reports findings to HR Director+ Oversees Employee Recognition Programs for portfolio+ Conducts Exit Interviews with departing employees and collects metrics to be used for retention efforts+ Facilitates annual Open Enrollment, point of contact for questions and ensures employees complete enrollment+ Manages support and human resources Inbox's and ensures all emails are responded to within "48" hours+ Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefit laws and regulations+ Provides weekly status report to Director of Human Resources If interested, please apply directly or reach out to Leila Hermes on LinkedIn with your resume and refer to this specific search! Requirements . Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or 3-5 years of equivalent experience in a Human Resources position . 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience . Experience in a fast-paced, federal contracting environment; experience with a small business is preferred. Experience and strong knowledge of HR compliance, employee benefits, HRIS, performance management, and payroll. Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) . UKG/Ultipro experience preferred; HRIS experience a must. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred, but not required . Integrity, discretion, and good judgment. This positions handles a significant amount of confidential and sensitive information and continually makes judgment calls regarding priorities and information requests. Excellent communication skills (verbal, oral, and written) with a keen attention to detail. This position represents and crafts messages on behalf of the Human Resources Department. Exceptional interpersonal skills. This position requires daily interaction with Sr. Executives across the company, employees and potential employees. Excellent proofreading with keen observation to detail. Capable of handling potentially difficult situations independently. Adaptable. Must present a professional demeanor at all times.
