We are a global company, and our products-including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories-can be found all over the world.THE ROLEAs a key member of the Analysis team at JLG Engineering, you will work with the Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) product support teams to simulate, analyze, and provide structural and stability support for new features or changes to existing designs. This unique opportunity will have direct exposure to multiple functional groups to include Manufacturing, Product Safety, Customer Support, Aftermarket and Sales, and will work on a wide variety of product analysis projects.HOW YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE You will utilize finite element analysis (FEA), multi-body dynamics (MBD), fatigue analysis, and other simulation tools to analyze the structure and stability of JLG AWP products. Ensure that the designs meet the necessary requirements, providing insight and design suggestions to the design teams You will perform and provide guidance to design teams in conceptual development through structural evaluation of concepts, sizing of components, and optimization of designs for efficiency You will develop test requirements and test plans for verification of structures. Oversee testing of prototype models and evaluate test results You will have the unique opportunity to liaison between global JLG design teams and off-shore analysis teams to support structural and stability analysis efforts You will prepare structural analysis reports that communicate compliance of JLG products to appropriate standards You will be a leader and coach and develop other analysis engineers and design engineers in structural analysis techniques and best practices You will work to develop and provide an awareness of the latest trends in the access industries which could benefit the company You will provide structural analysis advice and guidance to other JLG departments on manufacturing, customer support, product safety, and legal mattersWHAT YOU NEED Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 8+ years of relevant experience in heavy equipment structural analysis or a related fieldWHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT Experience with Hypermesh finite element analysis, ADAMS multi-body dynamics, nCode fatigue and Creo Strong analytical background and problem-solving skills#L1-DP1 USA100Oshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodation to job applicants with disabilities.
