As a Senior Ultrasound Engineer at Sonosa, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing the ultrasound system architecture. In that role, you will directly contribute to hardware and software requirements and lead development of analog and digital signal processing chains, beamforming algorithms, and image processing techniques. You will also support integration with data pipelines and high-level software products.Qualifications MS or PhD Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics or related degree with equivalent experience.5-7 years relevant industry or research experience, preferably in POC ultrasound productsExpertise in ultrasound physics, beamforming, signal and image processing, PZT or MEMS transducers, simulation, software implementation of ultrasound signal chains.Knowledge or experience in applying relevant industry standards IPC, IEC, ISO and FDA.Experience creating detailed design documentation (specifications, design descriptions, verification, and testing plans).Proficiency in one or more programming languages.Essential Job FunctionsDevelop system architecture definition, documentation, and simulations.Develop resource optimized signal and image processing algorithms.Establish transducer requirements and oversee fabrication, integration, and testing.Develop application specific imaging modes and algorithms that support analysis by users or automated algorithms.Contribute to software application development.Coordinate internal and external teams across multiple technical disciplines and clinical specialties to establish system-wide design requirements.Organize and maintain detailed design documentation compliant with relevant international standards.Plan, implement, and track development timelines, responding to progress within and between simultaneous projects.Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and updates to technical and non-technical team members.Work independently and collaboratively in a small, multidisciplinary team to advance project and company objectives.
