Westat is currently seeking an individual to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm) to join our corporate finance group and work with a multidisciplinary team of corporate financial professionals and managers. This position is on-site at our Rockville, MD location with a hybrid work schedule. A successful candidate must have 8 years of administrative experience, strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support including managing and maintaining calendar and associated communications.
  • Coordinate and plan department in-person and virtual meetings, and other events, requiring the coordination of multiple calendars.
  • Coordinate on-boarding activities for new hires within the department.
  • Provide and maintain departmental resource library, documentation and coordinate communication with various teams and departments.
  • Develop or modify PowerPoint presentations.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 8 years of Administrative experience
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience supporting senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience in an accounting or financial work environment.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong scheduling, planning, note taking and writing skills
