Westat has a new opportunity available for a Business Process Manager - Project Management, reporting to the Finance Implementation Project Manager. You are a service-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in supporting projects or corporate initiatives and will use your knowledge of process and continuous improvement in this role. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation and integration of corporate finance initiatives to help improve financial operating processes across the organization.

This position is remote eligible within the United States. We do ask that you align with our core east coast hours of 10 am-4pm EST.

Job Responsibilities:
•    Supports multiple projects and/or corporate financial or service area initiatives
•    Serves as point of contact and process mentor to financial operations teams
•    Tracks and monitors tasks and activities, identifies improvement opportunities, anticipates potential obstacles, and finds solutions 
•    Works collaboratively to document business rules and process workflows across the finance organization
•    Analyzes, evaluates, and proposes recommendations to improve business processes
•    Develops and manages timelines and implementation activities to ensure implementations are completed on time, within budget and meet expectations
•    Sets and resets expectations with internal and external stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's Degree and 5-8 years of experience in project management or process improvement 
•    Experience working in a large organization with multiple autonomous service groups and functional areas

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Prior experience in project management and process improvement and/or PMP certification
•    Financial operations experience
•    Mid-to-large size organizational experience
•    Government contracting experience
•    Experience influencing cross organizational teams and managing change efforts

Minimum Qualifications:  
•    Demonstrated communication skills 
•    Knowledge and background in project management and process improvement methodologies
•    Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
